SENWES DONATES TO AGRI SA’S DISASTER RELIEF FUND FOR FIRES

Senwes announced today, in the wake of the recent devastating fires in the North West, Free State, and Northern Cape, that it is donating half a million rand to Agri SA’s Disaster Relief Fund to provide relief to those in need.

The fires, which have caused widespread destruction and hardship for many producers, will have a long-lasting impact on those dependent on planted pasture and other resources that have been destroyed by the fires. Senwes, with deep roots in these regions and a strong commitment to the agricultural community, recognises the importance of coming together in times of crisis to assist those in need.

“We are deeply moved by the devastating impact of the fires on our agricultural community,” said Francois Strydom, CEO of Senwes. “As a company that has been doing business in the agricultural sector for over a century, we understand the importance of supporting our local communities during these difficult times. We believe it is our duty to help those affected by the fires and contribute to Agri SA’s Disaster Fund. We hope that this donation will provide immediate relief and support the recovery process,” Strydom said.

According to Strydom, Agri SA and the broader network of organised agriculture are well established and are ideal for channelling funds to where the need is greatest. The Senwes Group’s donation underscores its commitment to the community and the need to make a positive difference in challenging times. “We encourage other businesses and individuals in the disaster-stricken areas to join the relief efforts and support this fund in any way they can.”
