In WRSA’s submission to the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) dated 26 April 2020, we proposed that the trade of wildlife must follow the regulations of other agricultural commodities and that it must include activities relevant to veterinary procedures, sales, auctions, inspections and movement across provincial borders.
On 14 May 2020, the Minister of Environmental Affairs published Directions (clause 8.2 below), providing clarity on the implementation of activities under COVID-19 Level 4.
